Dual Enrollment College Classes
 
Narbonne students can take college classes at LA Harbor College and El Camino College to earn college units while they are still in high school. College class are free for High School students. Read below to find out how to enroll in a college course.

LOS ANGELES HARBOR COLLEGE (LAHC)
 
There are two ways students can take a LA Harbor College Course:
 
 
 
Outreach Dual Enrollment Courses Dual Enrollment Courses at the College Campus or Online
  • Courses taken after school at Narbonne High School (Only Narbonne students enrolled in the courses).
  • Who: Incoming 9th -12th graders
  • Dual Enrollment classes are FREE
  • Classes are CSU & UC Transferable GE courses
  • Students must be in good academic standing
  • Minimum GPA: 2.0; B or higher in A-G courses
  • Textbook is provided by Narbonne HS
  • Courses taken at LA Harbor College or online with other college students
  • Who: Incoming 9th -12th graders
  • Dual Enrollment classes are FREE
  • Classes are CSU & UC Transferable GE courses
  • Students must be in good academic standing
    • Minimum GPA: 2.0; B or higher in A-G courses
  • Students need to pay for their own textbook(if needed)
Spring 2024 Outreach Dual Enrollment Courses
In Spring 2024, LA Harbor College will offer Psychology 01 and Astronomy 001  to Narbonne Students. Enrollment for Spring 2024 Outreach Dual Enrollment Courses will begin in February 2024.

K-12 Dual Enrollment Form
In order for a High School student to enroll in a course at LA Harbor College they need to complete and submit a K-12 Dual Enrollment Form to the LAHC Admission Office. The K-12 Form is a document used by the Admission Office to indicate that the student is in high school and is seeking permission to take a college course at LA Harbor College.
 
K-12 Form for Outreach Dual Enrollment Courses
Email Mrs. Vargas or come to E2 to get the K-12 Form for the Outreach Dual Enrollment courses being offered in Spring 2024.
 
K-12 Form for Courses taken on the LA Harbor Campus or Online
Click on the Link below open the K-12 Dual Enrollment Form needed to enroll in course on the LA Harbor College campus or online. 
 
 
Dropping a LA Harbor College Class
Students are responsible for dropping their college class on their LAHC Student Portal. Students need to drop their LAHC class within the first two weeks of the Fall or Spring semester to avoid receiving a W (Withdraw) on their LA Harbor College transcript.

Dual Enrollment at El Camino College and at other Community Colleges
 
Students can also take courses at El Camino College and other community colleges near Narbonne. Each community college has their own Dual Enrollment process and procedures. It is recommended to carefully review the process to enroll in a college class at each campus to ensure successful enrollment in the course.
