Beta Magnet School

BETA’s vision is to prepare students for a bright, fulfilling future beyond high school. Our dedicated faculty provides our 200 students with an enriching and challenging curriculum that prepares students for careers in business, entrepreneurship, and technology. Through a caring, encouraging environment, enriching activities, and opportunities outside of the classroom, our students will leave Narbonne career and college ready, with a strong foundation to take them wherever their dreams want them to go.
One could think of the BETA Magnet as Narbonne 1.5 since we are affiliated with the larger school in some ways. Clubs, activities, and athletics are combined schoolwide. Classes not offered in this Magnet are sometimes available to our students through the larger school. The bell schedule is also shared with the larger school.
Still, there are significant differences. The BETA Magnet has its own faculty, classrooms, and additional funding. We maintain smaller class sizes (30 or fewer beginning 2021-2022) which are located in one section of the school and a dedicated Magnet Office located in front of the Administration Building. This office serves as a central location to meet students' and parents' needs. Both benefit by having a consistent counselor and administrator for all four years, which promotes a greater awareness of our student's academic and emotional growth. Parents benefit by knowing precisely who to contact when they have questions, concerns, or simply need to drop something off!

2023 - 2024 SCHOOL YEAR

Since we are on a 4x4 schedule we will start one day early. This means the 2023-2024 school year will begin for students on FRIDAY, August 11th and end Monday, June 10th.  See the calendar to the right for holidays, and vacations as all other dates will remain the same as the district.  Note: Professional Development days are not included and will be added to this calendar upon approval from the NHS Leadership Council.

Narbonne's BETA Magnet has partnered with EXP to provide paid internships to students who complete their program. In it, students will learn the skills necessary to be successful job seekers as they embark on their journey into the future! We encourage you to look into this fantastic opportunity!
